What we collect

When you book a consultation, we collect the details you enter in the form:

• whether you are a parent or guardian, agent, group leader or other
• your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone or WhatsApp number and country
• your organisation, if you are an agent, group leader or other organisation
• how and when you would like to talk
• information about the students: how many, their ages, and your preferences for timing, length of stay and area
• for agents, the countries you recruit from; for group leaders, how many leaders are travelling
• how you heard about us, and anything else you choose to tell us in your message

When you sign up for news, we collect your email address.

When you email us, we keep the correspondence.

The form asks only for students' ages, not their names. Please don't send health, medical or other sensitive information through the website. If it is needed for a booking, we will arrange a secure way to share it.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry, arrange your consultation and send you a tailored proposal and quote. We do this at your request, before any contract, and in our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
• To send you news about Sandbox English Summer School, only if you have asked us to. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
• To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping business records.

We never sell your personal information and do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers:

• Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States) receives what you send through our consultation form and news sign-up, emails it to us and keeps a copy in our Formspree account. It processes this information on our behalf.
• GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States) hosts this website. Like most web hosts, it logs technical details such as your IP address to keep the service secure. See GitHub's privacy statement.
• Our email provider stores the messages we send and receive.

We will not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Formspree and GitHub are based in the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards set out in their data processing terms.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to two years after our last contact with you. This includes the copy held in our Formspree account.
• News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
• If you make a booking, we will explain how we keep booking information in our booking terms.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it
• ask for your information in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
